VETUS V-CAN CAN-bus System
VETUS proprietary V-CAN CAN-bus network for thrusters, electric propulsion and engine controls, with power supply, hub, gateways to J1939/NMEA 2000, data cables, battery monitor and 7-inch display.
Description
V-CAN is VETUS's proprietary CAN-bus network for monitoring and controlling VETUS products such as thrusters, electric propulsion and electronic engine controls. External control or monitoring by other systems is done via approved gateways. VETUS is an NMEA 2000 member.
Components
- CANVPS power supply (12 V input) – protects the network against connection errors, overcurrent, overvoltage and reverse polarity; replaces BPCABCPC
- CANVHUB – 3-point hub for mounting and cable management; replaces BPCANHUB
- CANverters – J1939 to NMEA 2000 (mono-directional), V-CAN to NMEA 2000 (mono-directional), NMEA 2000 to V-CAN (bi-directional)
- CANNME7 – second-generation 7" multifunction display for electric propulsion
- Digital battery monitoring shunt with NMEA 2000 and WiFi, max. 500 A
- CAN-bus data cables 3–30 m for EC3/EC4 remote controls
- NMEA 2000 terminating resistors (120 Ω) and power supply cable
