VETUS Anti-Siphon Air Vents
Anti-siphon air vents that stop seawater siphoning into the exhaust and engine when the water injection point is less than 15 cm above the waterline; for 13–38 mm hoses, with or without valve.
Description
VETUS air vents (anti-siphon devices) prevent water from siphoning through the cooling water intake into the exhaust system and engine after shutdown. They are needed when the cooling water injection point is less than 15 cm above the waterline.
Range
- Air vent with valve for 13/19/25/32 mm hoses; 360° rotating air bleed connection
- Air vent with valve for 38 mm hose; also suitable for toilets or holding tanks installed below the waterline
- Air vent with hose (no valve) for 13/19/25/32 mm hoses, supplied with skin fitting, hose clamps and 4 m of hose
- Kits with skin fitting, hose clamps and 2 m hose available
Maintenance
- Vents with a valve need periodic cleaning of the valve with fresh water; vents with a bleed hose to the hull need no periodic maintenance
