GALI Air Starter Motors

GALI air starter motors are pneumatic starters for reciprocating internal combustion engines and gas turbines. They operate directly at 30 and 40 bar, matching the design pressure of most compressed air systems without pressure-reducing valves, and work efficiently from 10 to 40 bar depending on the model. An integrated electro-pneumatic control system is standard, with manual activation available when no external power is present.

• Two-stage starting sequence (engagement, then acceleration) to protect the engine ring gear
• High-strength cast aluminium: compact and light with high starting torque
• No external lubrication; resistant to humidity, salt atmospheres and high temperatures
• Fast engagement for black-start applications
• Slow Turn (ST) versions for safety-check sequences
• Right- and left-hand rotation; standard SAE or custom mounting for new engines and retrofits
