Wärtsilä AmmoniaPac – fuel supply system for ammonia-fuelled ships

Wärtsilä AmmoniaPac is a complete fuel supply system for ammonia-fuelled ships, covering bunkering, onboard storage, processing, control and monitoring, and delivery of ammonia fuel as a stable gas flow to the engines. It supports ammonia use for propulsion and onboard power generation and is part of the Wärtsilä ammonia-fuelled power solution.

Configurations

• Semi-refrigerated or fully refrigerated ammonia in Type-C single shell tanks; refrigerated or fully pressurised configurations
• Above-deck or below-deck arrangement with integrated airlock and double manhole enclosure
• Single-lobe, bi-lobe and prismatic tanks with optimised tank connection space

Applications

Ammonia-fuelled newbuilds and retrofits (subject to project evaluation). Selected by Skarv Shipping Solutions for a short-sea cargo vessel expected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 90% on green ammonia compared with a diesel-powered equivalent.
