Description
The Anemoi Rotor Sail System, sold and serviced by Wärtsilä as authorised partner, is a wind-assisted propulsion system that provides auxiliary thrust to vessels. Rotating cylinders use the Magnus effect: rotation in the air flow creates a pressure difference between the aft and forward sides of the rotor, generating thrust. Maximum thrust is produced with the wind just aft of the beam.
