Description
The EU Emissions Compliance application is fully integrated into Wärtsilä's Fleet Optimisation Solution (FOS). It tracks and reports a ship's emissions for the European Union Emission Trading System (EU ETS) and its compliance with FuelEU Maritime regulations, combining data from several sources for EU MRV (monitoring, reporting and verification).
Key features
- Estimates the total cost of the vessel's voyages
- Calculates European Union Allowance (EUA) costs
- Tracks FuelEU compliance in real time and calculates FuelEU penalties
- Simulates vessel pooling and fuel choices, including biofuel optimisation, to minimise total costs
- FuelEU Optimiser considers FuelEU compliance costs in voyage planning
- Generates reports that allocate costs to charterers, shippers and owners
- Uses SmartLog noon reports for consistent data without manual handling; IMO CII calculations use the same data set
Applications
For operators of ships calling EU and EEA ports that fall under EU ETS (ships of 5,000 gross tonnage and above) and FuelEU Maritime. FOS performance modelling lets users simulate EUA and FuelEU costs for upcoming voyages. It is an optional feature of FOS.
