Description
CANAL's Engineering Services provide design, specification, integration and documentation support across conceptual, functional, detailed and production design. Deliverables follow WBS, SWBS and SFI standards, and engineering resources can be embedded with shipyard teams.

- Power and propulsion studies and analysis (load profiles, duty cycles, redundancy, efficiency)
- Power distribution design, load analysis, short circuit studies and protection coordination
- Technical specifications for switchboards, generators, transformers, drives and control systems
- Systems integration of propulsion, distribution, machinery, navigation and automation
- Cable routing and cable schedules
- Testing, trials and commissioning, including harbour and sea acceptance testing
Applications
Projects include the Multi-Purpose Icebreaker (>60 SWBS deliverables) and Polar Icebreaker (>150 SWBS deliverables).
