The names Lloyd's Register and LR are trading names of Lloyd's Register Group Limited, its subsidiaries and affiliates. LR works alongside the Lloyd's Register Foundation on safety, seafarer skills and a safe transition to zero-carbon fuels.
On nuclear propulsion, LR convened a roundtable of shipowners, reactor developers, regulators and industry bodies at Posidonia 2026, with the International Atomic Energy Agency taking part, to discuss an international regulatory framework for nuclear-powered commercial ships.
