Wärtsilä Fixed Pitch Propellers

Wärtsilä fixed pitch propellers (FPP) are monobloc propellers cast in a single piece with hub and blades, designed for each vessel to balance efficiency, noise and vibration across a wide range of speeds and power densities. Designs draw on LIPS and Wärtsilä experience and use CFD, model tests and full-scale data.

Replacement propellers

Retrofit propellers can improve efficiency by up to 15%, e.g. after a change to slow steaming, severe damage, poor initial design or to reduce pressure pulses.
