Heading Inverter for Double-Ended Ferries
Retransmits gyro heading as heading +0° or +180° for double-ended ferries, with a controlled 90°/minute change sequence and alarms.
Description
The SR01-08 Heading Inverter receives heading from the gyro system and retransmits it to other onboard systems as either heading +0° or heading +180°, with the navigation officer controlling the direction. Direction IDs default to "Normal" and "Inverse" but can be replaced with programmed port names.
When a direction change is confirmed, the heading output changes at 90°/minute until it has shifted by 180° (2 minutes). An alarm buzzer and flashing red alarm button signal the start and the completion of the change, and the display shows the change status ("Changing to…", "Change COMPLETE").
