Step, Synchro & LOG to NMEA Converters

ScanRepeater · Model SR01-40 / SR01-60

Converters that turn legacy gyro step/synchro signals and LOG pulses into NMEA or other heading protocols on two independent RS422 outputs.

Description

The SR01-40 converts old-type gyro signals and LOG pulses to NMEA (or other protocols): synchro 360X and 90X, 6-step-per-degree "Sperry Step", Anschütz & Sperry Micro Step, and LOG pulses of 200 or 400 pulses per nautical mile. The SR01-60 (H or L) converts 1X and 36X synchro signals and LOG pulses and can also be used for synchro speed conversion.

Decoded heading and calculated ROT are sent on 2x independent RS422 outputs, which can run different baud rates and protocols, so the units also serve as protocol/baud rate converters. Supported output protocols include NMEA (default), Course Bus, RGS/Tokimek, old Yokogawa, "Lehmkuhl" LR22/40/60 and Robertson SKR80/82. Each unit has an alarm relay output (NO, NC, 2A) and supports the NMEA alarm communication protocol.
