Engineering Support for Ship Designers is Marine Jet Power's design-phase service for vessels using waterjet propulsion, from concept and feasibility studies to class-ready specification.
Services
- Propulsion layout and integration: waterjet configuration based on vessel type, mission profile and performance targets; support for concepts, tenders, detailed design and class approval
- Hydrodynamics and simulation: hydrodynamic assessments, cavitation analysis and flow evaluation of hull–waterjet interaction
- CFD analysis: validation of inlet performance, thrust efficiency and hull–waterjet interaction; comparative studies for high-speed or weight-sensitive designs
- Design reviews and documentation: technical drawings, calculations, interface specifications, integration guidelines, and 2D drawings and 3D CAD models on request
- Hull adaptation: optimization of hull geometry, intake design and propulsion placement for waterjets
