Description

The Compact Steering Unit (CSU) is Marine Jet Power's classic mixed-flow, high-efficiency waterjet series for larger vessels in continuous operation, offering low fuel consumption, long range and high speed. The structure is made of duplex stainless steel, which MJP states is twice as strong as standard stainless steel and more corrosion resistant.

Key features

  • Mixed-flow high-efficiency pump for manoeuvrability, acceleration and high top speed
  • Classic reversing bucket designed for installations where split-duct reversing buckets will not fit, allowing closer centre-to-centre spacing
  • Customisable intake in composite, steel or aluminium, designed to be corrosion resistant and easy to install
  • Available as steerable units and boosters

Technical data

  • Power range: 2,500–24,000 kW (3,352–32,184 BHP)
  • Vessel size: 26–200 m
  • Body and pump unit: duplex stainless steel; intake: metal or composite
  • Models: 550, 650, 750, 850, 950, 1050, 1150, 1350, 1550 and 1750 CSU
