About
Marine Jet Power was established in Sweden in 1986 as a joint venture between Marinteknik Shipyard and Österby Gjuteri. The first waterjet was delivered in 1987 for the ferry M/S Cinderella, and the company built its reputation in Scandinavian ferry operations with stainless-steel mixed-flow waterjets.
In 2012 MJP acquired Ultra Dynamics (UltraJet), adding axial-flow technology and forming the basis of the present group. The X-Series waterjet platform was launched in 2018, and since 2020 the company has accelerated work on hybrid and electric waterjet solutions.
The head office is in Uppsala, Sweden, with regional contacts for EMEA, the Americas, South Korea and APAC. The company reports more than 40 years of experience, operation in over 100 countries, more than 900 vessels powered and five offices worldwide.
