Superbolt states that it was first to market with the multi-jackbolt tensioner in 1984 and that the technology has been proven in tens of thousands of installations. Nord-Lock Group acquired Superbolt in 2011.
Nord-Lock Group began in 1982 in Mattmar, Sweden, with wedge-locking washers and is wholly owned by Investment Latour AB. The group also includes Boltight (hydraulic tensioning, acquired 2015) and Expander (pivot pins, acquired 2016). Superbolt products carry a lifetime warranty and are stocked globally.
