Bow Cable Engine
Crane-lifted electric bow cable engine (BCE-001) for cable loading and transpooling, 25 kN pulling force.
Description
The Bow Cable Engine (BCE) is mainly used during cable loading (shore to vessel) and transpooling. It is lifted by a crane, pulls the cable from temporary storage, a coil or a turntable, and feeds it onward. It is electrically powered and fitted with two tandem hydraulic pumps, one variable displacement closed loop and one fixed displacement open loop, and is adjustable in constant tension mode.
