Neuver Maritime Equipment
SR Series Rotary Vane Steering Gear
Rotary vane steering gear for small to medium-sized vessels with integrated frequency-controlled reversible pumps mounted on the actuator, up to 70° rudder angle and built-in rudder carrier.
Description
The SR Series rotary vane steering gear from Neuver is designed for small to medium-sized vessels. It uses integrated frequency-controlled pumps: a reversible hydraulic pump motor with a frequency converter changes pump speed and direction, giving smooth starting and stopping and enabling precise analogue control.
The pump units are mounted directly on the rudder actuator, reducing piping work on board. Because pumps and motors run only when a steering command is given, less heat is generated, keeping the hydraulic system cleaner and extending component life, while also reducing power consumption, noise and vibration.
