Master Bond Consumable
Urethane Modified Epoxies
Isocyanate-free, solvent-free urethane modified epoxies combining toughness, flexibility and abrasion resistance, used in lightweighting of boats, aircraft and vehicles.
Description
These two component hybrid systems combine epoxy strength with the toughness and compliance of urethanes. They maintain high peel and shear strength on metals, plastics, composites, ceramics and rubbers, including flexible substrates, with minimal shrinkage, and suit joints between substrates with different CTEs under temperature cycling.
Key features
- Isocyanate-free and solvent-free
- Viscosities from free-flowing potting grades to thixotropic pastes
- Grades with thermal conductivity, optical clarity, cryogenic serviceability or abrasion resistance
- Soft gel grades such as Super Gel 9 for acoustic damping
Applications
Lightweighting of boats, aircraft, autos, trucks, locomotives and mining equipment; bonding of composite and metal structures.
