Voyis began as 2G Robotics, which commercialized the first subsea laser scanner and, over more than ten years, deployed its products on subsea projects worldwide, laser scanning and imaging tens of thousands of kilometres of pipeline, wide areas of seabed, subsea assets and shipwrecks.
After joining Covelya Group (formerly Sonardyne Group), the company rebranded as Voyis, a name that stems from the word "voyage". The website describes Voyis as a Covelya Group company, while its home page states that Voyis is now part of Kraken Robotics. Voyis products are also sold and supported through global reseller partners.
