General Products support visualising models, managing equipment, reviewing drawings, tracking progress and build planning throughout a project.

Key features

• ShipExplorer – lets any stakeholder, CAD or non-CAD user share design changes, inspect models and communicate revisions. Features include switchback to the related model drawing, loading and comparing revisions, loading product hierarchies and creating sets, an embedded search tool, review over local and wide area networks, and isolating selected objects.
• MarineDrafting – creates 2D approval and workshop drawings directly from the 3D model using shipyard standards, in AutoCAD DWG format, associatively linked to the 3D model.
• Equipment – inserts any type of equipment item, modelled in almost any software including AutoCAD, into the ShipConstructor database, with HVAC and Pipe connections and production attributes.
• Report – defines production detail reports generated from the central project database on demand, with grouping, sorting, summary fields and visual control; exportable to formats such as Microsoft Excel.
• ProductHierarchy – the hub for production preparation; the build strategy defines the assembly sequence and drives all ShipConstructor production output, allowing near-automatic generation of production drawings.
