Description
Defender Fuse and Defender Fuse with Surge Arrestor are mooring safety devices positioned between the mainline and tail, or between the tail and shore connection. When overloaded, an AmSteel-Blue HMPE trigger transfers load to loops of high-elongation catch material that elongate up to 150% before rupture, exposing pink material as a visual warning. The Surge Arrestor option engages before full initial elongation and establishes an additional connection of at least 75% MBLsd. Made with MoorGuard anti-recoil technology under license; introduced in 2023.
