Phillystran Temporary Suspension Ropes (PSV)
Double-jacketed Vectran LCP fiber ropes in 7x19 wire-lay construction for boom safety cables, streamer cables, mooring lines, towed arrays and winch lines.
Description
PSV ropes are made from Vectran liquid crystal polymer fiber in a stranded wire-lay construction for strength-to-diameter efficiency. They are double jacketed, with a primary braided polyester jacket and an outer polyurethane coating that resists moisture and dirt/sand migration into the rope; other jackets, including extruded polyurethanes and braided polyesters, are available. Assemblies are supplied with factory eye splices equal to the rope's rated break strength and weigh a fraction of socketed wire rope assemblies: a 100 ft PSV 310 assembly with eye splices weighs less than 110 lb / 50 kg.
Key features
