Description
The control panel is the cabinet housing the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that manages and records all operations of the Optimarin Ballast Water Treatment System. It uses a Siemens CPU 1516 series processor and a 9" widescreen TFT touch display running an Optimarin-developed user interface.
Key features
- Interfaces with the ship's main control systems via data bus or digital I/O
- Supports PROFINET (Industrial Ethernet) and PROFIBUS
- Connects to the vessel's GPS for position and time synchronization
- Logs operations in accordance with IMO and USCG requirements
- Operation logs, alarm lists and operation data can be extracted to a USB stick or sent to the cloud via OptiLink (sold separately)
- Import and export of operation parameter configurations without onboard service
- Integrates with Optimarin additional features such as PMS integration, interlock functionality and fresh water filling
