BlueMAX™ NOVA-Series (SCR+ADPF+DOC)

SCR, active DPF and DOC aftertreatment system controlling NOx, PM, CO and HC from medium and heavy-duty diesel engines; variants include BlueMAX NOVA 320 for marine.

Description

The BlueMAX™ NOVA-Series from Nett Technologies combines Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), an Active Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to control PM, NOx, CO and HC from medium and heavy-duty diesel engines, for both original equipment and retrofit.

How it works

The system comprises the SCR catalytic converter, a computerised Urea Dosing System, urea tank, DPF, DOC and control components. A NOx sensor upstream of the SCR, combined with engine air mass flow and temperature sensors, lets the controller calculate the required urea (32.5% solution) dose, so no engine mapping is needed and the system suits both mechanically and electronically controlled engines. An ammonia slip catalyst is standard. The active DPF achieves filtration efficiency above 90% even at low soot loads.

Key features

  • Level 3 Plus, Mark 5 verification (at least 85% PM and NOx reduction)
  • Internally insulated, optional external insulation
  • Computerised controller with 3 customisable alarms, data logging and colour display
  • Maintenance intervals of 2000 to 6000 hours
  • Custom housings available; typically installed under-hood

Variants

  • NOVA 100 – off-road; NOVA 200 – on-road; NOVA 300 – power generation; NOVA 320 – marine; NOVA 350 – gantry cranes; NOVA 420 – locomotive
  • NOVA 300e (stationary) is CARB-verified for Tier 1, 2 and 3 diesel engines rated 75 hp / 56 kW and above, and for Tier 4i engines over 750 hp / 560 kW

Standard models (GH)

GH5100 to GH5900 cover maximum engine power from 100 hp (75 kW) to 500 hp (370 kW).
