Isoflex Marine and Industrial Gearbox Couplings

Isoflex flexible gearbox couplings act as a sacrificial link that fails before gearbox damage, isolate vibration and ease thrust-induced misalignment; 4, 6, 8 and 10 bolt versions fit most Twin Disc and ZF gearboxes.

Description

Isoflex Marine and Industrial Gearbox Couplings are flexible couplings fitted at the gearbox output flange. They provide a sacrificial link designed to fail before gearbox damage occurs, help engine mounts work by allowing controlled engine movement to isolate vibration, and alleviate thrust-induced driveline misalignment. The range covers a large percentage of Twin Disc and ZF gearboxes plus many others; while designed for marine use, the couplings are also used in industrial drivelines.

Configurations

  • 4-bolt couplings – for four-bolt gearbox output flanges, with male or female spigots/pilots as determined by the gearbox. The IV range is developed to operate in the tensile condition created by integral V-drives.
  • 6-bolt couplings – for six-bolt output flanges, male or female spigots; certain couplings need a T-bush kit.
  • 8-bolt couplings – for eight-bolt output flanges, with special steel spigots, pilots or registers fitted to maintain absolute dimensions; certain couplings need a T-bush kit and Isoflex can supply certain adapters.
  • 10-bolt couplings – for ten-bolt output flanges, male or female spigots.
  • Spicer/Uni-Joint couplings – for drive shaft flanges configured to Spicer, Uni-Joint or cardan shaft drives.

Applications

  • Marine propulsion drivelines between gearbox and propeller shaft
  • Industrial driveline applications
