Description
Høglund Retrofit & Upgrades is a turnkey service that replaces ageing shipboard automation with Høglund integrated systems on all types of vessels, aiming at reliable performance and lower operating costs.

- Hardware based on off-the-shelf components available worldwide.
- Modular, scalable ABB S800 hardware platform, suitable for systems from a few hundred to several thousand signals.
- In-house bulk data manager converts vessel I/O lists directly into project files; together with a marine program library this shortens engineering to a few days.
- Dedicated retrofit team acting through design, installation and operation.
Project stages (led by a senior project manager)
- Pre-project: site survey reviewing the existing system and agreeing requirements
- Design: new system design with full integration of vessel automation
- Customer approval of the final technical specification
- Installation / commissioning with crew knowledge transfer
- Operation: upgrades, remote assistance and service
