Prilog - Alarm and event logger
PC-based alarm and event logger that replaces alarm printers, storing alarms and events from automation and cargo systems via serial, TCP, file, e-mail, FTP, UDP or LPD inputs.
Description
Høglund Prilog replaces the alarm printer by storing alarms and events on the computer hard drive, for safe storage and remote access and analysis. It is used on marine vessels and offshore installations, among other sites where line printers log events.
How it works
- Reads and stores data from multiple input channels, including printer ports of third-party automation and cargo control systems.
- Runs on any PC with a communication port and/or network connection.
- Can fetch alarms via COM port or network TCP/IP printer; parallel outputs are handled with a hardware converter to serial or IP.
