Vessel Handling Trolley System Design
Design of vessel handling trolley systems for floating and graving drydocks, including standard non-mechanical trolleys and hauling and centering trolleys with winches.
Description
Heger Dry Dock specializes in designing vessel handling trolley systems for floating and graving drydocks; systems can also be designed with winches as hauling systems.
Key features
- 'Standard' system with a non-mechanical ('dead' or 'slave') trolley that keeps a constant static connection between the vessel and the dock, acting as a mobile mooring point that rolls along a rail and holds the vessel transversely while it is hauled longitudinally
- Non-powered standard systems rely on auxiliary capstans or tugs to bring the vessel in or out, with final positioning by additional lines and capstans
- Hauling and centering trolley variant
- Custom designs for fit, function and capacity
Applications
- Vessel handling on floating drydocks
- Vessel handling on graving drydocks
