Auramarine flow meter upgrades for more accurate onboard fuel consumption measurement and EU MRV/IMO DCS compliance: volumetric-to-mass replacement, density-compensated volumetric upgrade, or separate meters per consumer.
Description
Auramarine flow meter upgrades improve fuel consumption measurement and reporting where existing flow meters are outdated, enabling more accurate real-time measurement for efficiency, fuel changeover and compliance with EU MRV and IMO data collection regulations.
Upgrade options
1. Replace volumetric with mass flow meters – usually requires piping modifications due to larger meter size, plus integration into the fuel handling system
2. Upgrade existing volumetric flow meters – combine measured density with volumetric data; in certain cases more economical and equivalently accurate under normal operating conditions, for low or high flows; requires re-cabling, engineering updates and integration
3. Separate flow meters for each fuel consumer – with engineering and design support for the new set-up
Each upgrade starts with a review of the vessel's current measuring and reporting capabilities.
