Yanmar System / Package
SCR System
In-house developed SCR system for marine diesel engines to meet IMO Tier 3 NOx regulations in ECA and non-ECA waters.
Description
Yanmar's original SCR system is designed to meet IMO Tier 3, which requires an 80% NOx reduction compared with Tier 1. It is optimised for marine vessels and diesel engines, and was verified on ocean-going vessels fitted with SCR for three auxiliary engines.
Key features
- By-pass branching section and catalytic reactor integrated in a single unit
- Urea injection nozzle downstream of the branching section prevents ammonia leaking into the by-pass line
- A single pump unit and control panel can manage the system for multiple engines
- Two outlet types in a unit that limits catalyst degradation for a long catalyst lifetime
- After-service for engine and SCR, including periodic NOx reduction rate measurements per class rules
- Optional urea water solution production equipment
