Description
Standard vertical capstans have rugged construction for spotting railway cars and moving barges. Custom vertical capstans are engineered to the required linepull and mounting.

- Totally enclosed fan cooled motors and a four point bolt down base on standard units
- Explosion proof motors and hydraulic powered versions optional
- Custom capstans: 10,000 to 30,000 lbs continuous running linepull at 10 to 100 fpm
- Stall and holding linepull at 200% of running linepull
- Pedestal or through deck mounting
- Spring applied electric released holding brake and direct drive planetary drive
Applications
Typical uses include railcar spotting and barge moving.
