Evans Capacitor Banks

Potted aluminum-housed assemblies of 2 to 18 or more Evans capacitors in series/parallel, 10-800 V, rated -55 °C to +200 °C.

Description

Evans capacitor bank assemblies are available with 2 to 18 or more internal capacitors. Internal capacitors may include any capacitor in the Evans product offering and can be connected in a variety of series/parallel configurations, enabling a broad range of capacitance and voltage ratings. Capacitors are assembled and potted in an aluminum housing with a screw-attached cover. All required bleed and/or discharge resistors are included.

Key features

  • Type: Hybrid Wet Tantalum Capacitor Bank Assembly
  • Grade: Hi-Rel/ Mission-critical
  • Dielectric/Construction: Assemblies use internal capacitors with sintered tantalum anodes and ruthenium oxide coated cathodes operating in aqueous electrolyte
  • Rated Voltage: 10V to 800V with higher voltage options available
  • Capacitance: Configurable to a wide range of capacitance values based on capacitor selection.
  • Sizes: Assemblies available with 2 to 18, or more, internal capacitors
  • Operating Temp: -55 °C to +200 °C, with voltage derating at high temperature

Applications

  • High shock and vibration environments
  • Defense and aerospace electronics
  • High-reliability power hold-up and energy storage assemblies
  • Custom high-voltage capacitor assemblies
  • Ruggedized systems requiring packaged hybrid wet tantalum capacitor networks
