About

EODev was founded in 2019 as the industrial spin-off of Energy Observer, the laboratory vessel project launched in 2017 by Victorien Erussard. The legal entity is Energy Observer Developments SAS, with headquarters at 282 rue Henry Farman, Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.

In 2020 the REXH₂ marinized generator was installed on board Energy Observer for its first transatlantic crossing, and a partnership was signed with Monnoyeur Group, a shareholder, for production of the GEH₂ and REXH₂ and distribution through its subsidiary ENERIA. Toyota Motor Europe, described as the industrial partner of EODev, acquired a stake in 2021. In 2022 the second generation 70 kW REXH₂ received Approval in Principle from Bureau Veritas.

In 2025 the EODev Group was formed with the acquisition of EVE System, a French company with more than 25 years of experience in embedded intelligence, battery system architecture and electric and hybrid propulsion.
