CargoMax Direct Damage Stability Module

CargoMax module that directly calculates statutory damage stability and limiting GM for any loading condition of oil, gas, product and chemical tankers, using class-approved damage cases.

Description

The CargoMax direct damage stability module lets masters verify the required GM and stability for any loading condition against all class-approved damage cases before leaving port. Direct calculation of limiting GM allows loading patterns that meet class requirements to be developed on the fly.

Regulatory context

The module addresses the IMO requirement, effective 1 January 2021, for verification of tanker damage stability, including a carriage requirement for stability instruments, under damage stability amendments to MARPOL and the BCH, IGC and IBC codes. Typical onboard documentation covers only a limited number of approved intact loading conditions and tank filling levels.

Key features

  • Automatic analysis of all class-approved damage cases for the current loading condition
  • No restriction on loading variation; unlimited combinations of segregated cargo
  • Consistent fleet-wide regulatory compliance for fleet managers
  • Additional analysis module for evaluating emergency flooding situations
