About
Hoppe Marine traces back to Hoppe Bordmesstechnik, founded in 1949 by engineer Hans Hoppe. Helmut Rohde took over management in 1990 and the Rohde family took over the company completely in 1998. The first Hoppe Anti-Heeling System was delivered in 1994, and the first passive U-Tank Stabilization System in 2004.
Hoppe acquired the acoustic shaft power meter technology of Maihak in 2009 and the US company FLUME Stabilization Systems in 2010; Hoppe, Maihak and FLUME were reorganized and merged under Hoppe Marine in 2012. Intering was acquired from Rolls-Royce in 2017. Subsidiaries were established in Busan (1997), Shanghai (2010) and Singapore (2017), alongside the affiliate Meramont Automatyka in Poland (2004).
