About
Digital Edge Subsea started trading in 2010 with a single channel SD digital video recorder and inspection system. The EdgeDVR was originally designed by an ROV pilot and a 3.4u inspector active in the ROV and diving industry, with the aim of a simple, standalone system usable by personnel of all levels of ability, backed by technical support and remote access for training and fault finding.
The company now produces a range of products and supplies systems to many of the major offshore operators worldwide, with over 900 systems in use offshore. In June 2023 it moved to new, larger premises in Dalton-in-Furness, near multiple subsea technology companies. Digital Edge Subsea has a technology partnership with Harvest Technology Group, whose AVR2 streaming software is embedded in the EdgeDVR.
