Spud & Crane Barge Charter
Drop spud and power spud barges built to support working cranes up to 400 ton, from 30' x 110' x 7' to 70' x 195' x 10'6".
Description
Spud and crane barges are built to support a working crane. They typically have a boxed stern for maximum flotation and extra strengthening under the crane area from additional bulkheads, internal trusses or deck frames. Drop spuds are set by an onboard crane or spud-winch, while power spud barges have permanently fitted friction or hydraulic winches so the barge can be spudded down without a crane.
