Fabrication and outfitting of module components for the US Navy's Virginia-class and Columbia-class submarine programs in partnership with General Dynamics Electric Boat.
Description
Since 2022 Austal USA has supported the United States Navy's submarine production capacity by fabricating and outfitting critical module components for the Virginia-class and Columbia-class programs, working in strategic partnership with General Dynamics Electric Boat to strengthen the Submarine Industrial Base.

- Construction of Manufacturing Module Facility 3 (MMF3), a purpose-built submarine module production centre in Mobile, Alabama
- MMF3 provides 369,600 square feet of indoor manufacturing space
