Description

Progeny Systems designs, develops and delivers Sonar Transmit Group (TG) hardware for many U.S. Navy submarines. TG hardware provides the processing, amplification and interface equipment that submarine platforms need for acoustic transmit capabilities. It is part of the company's submarine sonar and sensor portfolio, alongside Acoustic Intercept & Ranging processing and the Precision Acoustic Ranging System.

Key features

  • Processing cabinets
  • Analog power amplifiers
  • Sonar interfaces
  • Design commonality approach allows reuse of specialized components between several submarine platform types, reducing the Navy's total ownership cost of transmit systems

Applications

  • Underwater communication
  • Active sonar
  • Ice draft detection
  • Depth sounding
