GHS Load Monitor (GLM)
Onboard software that checks trim, stability and strength under present and anticipated loads, with optional tank gauging links.
Description
GHS Load Monitor is used aboard ships to check trim, stability and strength with various loads. It computes hull and tank characteristics directly from geometrical models rather than precomputed tables, and uses the same software for flooding and grounding calculations.
It is menu driven with a spreadsheet-style interface alongside graphics of tanks and weights, shows draft, trim and stability margin immediately when loads change, and can connect to tank gauging systems for automatic monitoring and logging of ballast water uptake and discharge. Special versions can be configured, including crane and mooring simulation, petroleum volume expansion for tankers, tug-barge multi-body loading, a Ballast Advisor, and container-ship hull-twisting torque.
