Auxiliary Floating Dry Dock Medium (AFDM)
Rennie-type auxiliary floating dry dock with continuous wing walls and sectional pontoons, able to dock Littoral Combat Ships, destroyers, cruisers and dock landing ships.
Description
The auxiliary floating dry dock, medium (AFDM) provides docking capability for the construction, maintenance and repair of ships and boats. As a Rennie-type floating dry dock, it has continuous wing walls and several sectional pontoons that provide the stability and displacement needed to lift and submerge vessels using buoyancy.
