Boreas D70 & D90
Rugged FOG-based INS with north-seeking gyrocompass for GPS-denied environments.
Description
The Boreas D Series is a rugged inertial navigation system built around a closed-loop fibre optic gyroscope developed over more than 25 years. It finds north by sensing the Earth's rotation, without GNSS or a magnetometer, for GPS-denied environments.
Key features
- Roll and pitch 0.01 deg (D70) / 0.005 deg (D90)
- Heading 0.1 deg secant latitude (D70) / 0.01 deg secant latitude (D90)
- Bias instability 0.01 deg/hr (D70) / 0.001 deg/hr (D90)
- Tested to MIL-STD 461 and 810H; IP67 aluminum enclosure
- Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS422 and GPIO interfaces
- X20P variants add an all-band GNSS receiver; MX5 variants add multi-band GNSS with electronic protection against jamming and spoofing
