About

PSI traces its origin to Fred Loui, who founded Pacific Refrigeration in 1944 to service the wartime fleet. The business became Pacific Marine and Supply Company in 1954, and its ship repair operation became Pacific Shipyards International. PSI remains part of Pacific Marine & Supply Company, whose other companies include PacMar Technologies, HSI Mechanical, FLS Composites and Sea Blade Boats.

PSI has a team of over 200 professionals. Its ISO 9001-2015-compliant quality management system is certified by the Navy's Hawaii Regional Maintenance Center; it holds AMPP QP 1/2/3 accreditation and ABS, NAVSEA and AWS welding certifications, and received Shipbuilders Council of America "Excellence in Safety" awards for 2024 and 2025.
