Kingsborough Community College

Kingsborough Community College was founded in 1963 as part of the City University of New York and is one of 25 colleges and schools within CUNY. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and has been recognised by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program as one of the top 10% of public community colleges in the United States.

The college's 70-acre waterfront campus in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, sits on a peninsula bordered by Sheepshead Bay, Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, and includes a marina and ocean-going instructional vessels used by the maritime technology program. The Marine and Academic Center (MAC) also houses a 12,000 square foot conference facility, classrooms, computer labs and an aquarium. The college has articulation agreements with most City University and State University senior colleges.
