Buoy-mounted system alternating water and air pCO2 measurements for air-sea CO2 flux studies; selected for the US Ocean Observatories Initiative.
Description
The CO2-Pro™ Atmosphere combines a CO2-Pro mounted under a buoy, measuring water pCO2, with a NEMA box that draws in air from above the surface. The system alternates between air and water measurements so that surface CO2 flux can be calculated. It was chosen as the air-sea CO2 flux sensor for the Coastal and Global Scale Nodes of the US Ocean Observatories Initiative.
